Shipping policy

At The Quiet Shelf, we believe bookish treasures should arrive as thoughtfully as they were chosen. Below you'll find everything you need to know about how your order gets from our shelf (well, virtual shelf) to yours.
1. Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and chosen shipping method. Note: We don’t offer free shipping (yet), but we promise it’s worth it.
2. Carriers & Fulfillment
All orders are made-to-order and shipped directly from our print-on-demand partners using their preferred carriers—usually USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
The best option is auto-selected at checkout, depending on where you are and what you’re ordering.
3. Processing Time
We work weekdays (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays), and your order typically takes 2–5 business days to process before it ships. Peak seasons (hello, holiday gifting) may take a bit longer—thanks for your patience!
4. Shipping Time (U.S. Orders Only)
Once shipped, your order will usually arrive in 2–5 business days. Delivery timelines are estimates (not promises), but we’re cheering your package on from here.
5. Order Tracking
As soon as your order ships, you’ll get a tracking link via email. Feel free to refresh it 17 times a day—we won’t judge.
6. Lost or Stolen Packages
If your tracking says delivered but your porch says nope, we recommend contacting the carrier directly. Unfortunately, we can’t take responsibility for missing packages marked as delivered, but we’ll do our best to support you however we can.
7. Incorrect Address
Please double-check your shipping info at checkout. Orders sent to an incorrect address can’t be re-shipped or refunded (even if we totally understand the typo struggle).
