What is The Quiet Shelf?
The Quiet Shelf is a cozy online space for book lovers, offering thoughtfully curated bookish merchandise with a minimalist, timeless design. We believe books are more than just stories—they’re quiet companions and personal treasures.
Do you have a physical store?
Not yet! We’re proudly online-only for now—but we love connecting with readers around the world (and peeking at their TBR piles).
Can I collaborate with The Quiet Shelf?

Orders & Shipping
How long does it take to process my order?
Orders are processed Monday–Friday (excluding holidays) and typically take 3–7 business days before they’re shipped out into the world.
How long does shipping take?
U.S. orders: 3–7 business days after processing
Delivery times are estimates, not prophecies—but we do our best to keep things timely.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and method selected. (We offer free shipping for orders +$75, we promise it’s worth it.)
Which shipping carriers do you use?
Our print-on-demand partners ship using their preferred carriers—usually USPS, UPS, or FedEx—automatically chosen based on your location.
Do you offer international shipping?
Not at this time. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes! Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number so you can follow your bookish treasures every step of the way.
What if my package is lost or stolen?
If your tracking shows “delivered” but your package is nowhere to be found, we recommend reaching out to the shipping carrier directly—they’re the real delivery wizards. Still stuck? Send us a note and we’ll see what we can do.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Oops! Orders are sent to production quickly, so we can’t cancel or change them once they’re placed. Please double-check your details before checking out (maybe even triple-check, just to be safe).
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return or exchange my order?
Since each item is made just for you, we can’t accept returns or exchanges—unless your item arrives damaged or defective. Think of it as a love letter to slow, intentional shopping.
What if my item arrives damaged?
We’re so sorry that happened! Email us at hello@thequietshelf.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, photos of the damage, and a short note. We’ll make it right with a replacement.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Orders are sent to production quickly, so we can’t cancel or change them once they’re placed. Please double-check your details before checking out (maybe even triple-check, just to be safe).
Payments & Billing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), plus PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and local regulations.
Do you offer gift cards?
Not yet—but it’s on our wish list (right next to a bottomless bookshelf and a self-refilling coffee mug).
Products & Customization
Do you offer custom or personalized items?
Yes! Many of our products can be personalized—from personalized book accessories to mugs, totes, and apparel with your name, favorite phrase, or book club details. Check each product page for customization options.
How do I care for my apparel and accessories?
To keep things looking as cozy as the day they arrived:
- Wash apparel inside out in cold water
- Tumble dry low or air dry
- Avoid ironing directly on prints
- For decor and accessories, check the care info on each product page.
What materials are your products made from?
Each product listing includes specific material info, but we always prioritize soft, high-quality fabrics and long-lasting finishes that feel as good as your favorite worn-in page.
Gifting & Packaging
Can I send an order as a gift?
Absolutely! You can ship directly to the lucky reader. While we don’t offer gift wrapping (yet), our packaging is simple and elegant—perfect for thoughtful gifting.
Do you include prices in the package?
Nope! We never include invoices or pricing in the box, so go ahead and send that surprise gift without worry.
Wholesale & Bulk Orders
Do you offer bulk discounts for book clubs, libraries, or events?
We sure do! If you're ordering for a group, event, or library, email us at hello@thequietshelf.com with the details and we’ll create a custom quote for you.
